Management Certification Series

The Professional Management Certification (PMC) Series (Level I & II) is a core certification program of the American Certification Institute. This program offers the designation of CMP-I and CPM-II, to candidates who demonstrate their understanding of the fundamentals of the management profession through the successful completion of rigorous professional certification examination based upon the INTERNATIONAL PROFESSIONAL MANAGEMENT BODY OF KNOWLEDGE. (IPMBOK).

PROGRAM INTRODUCTION

The American Certification Institutes Professional Management Certification Series [PMC] offers professionals in a variety of industry exposure as well as across the board career experiences to enhance their career qualifications with the prestigious Certified Management Professional Level I [CMP-I] and Certified Professional Manager Level II (CPM-II) certification.

Backed by experienced industry experts and highly qualified management trainers the Professional Management Certification Series (Level I & II) fits into the supervisory, first line and middle management level of most organizations with the aim of producing world class management professionals.

This is the first-ever comprehensive Professional Management Certification [PMC] Series covering core strategic management methodologies, critical thinking process and leadership building process under the American Certification Institute. The modules offered under the PMC is designed for talent expansion in organizations or individuals  and most importantly, it is a catalyst for succession planning process in organizations that are keen to develop next line of leaders in their respective teams.

OBJECTIVES STRUCTURE 

The Professional Management Certification series is designed with the key objective of expanding needs of working professionals who see a dire need to build management competencies that need to be accredited and recognized globally.

This certification program is aimed at enhancing the skills of officers, junior managers and senior managers, as well as experienced executives without formal training. A large number of professionals in the Asia Pacific region are being groomed into mangers and PMC fits well in providing that cutting edge in career enhancement with Professional Certification.

The curriculum is designed to help participants develop a thorough knowledge of management in both theoretical and applied dimensions. The management sessions help us to consolidate learning with on-the-job application. Case studies, group presentations, discussions and sometimes field visits are used to facilitate learning.

COURSE LEARNING OUTCOME

The PMC series goes beyond certification by virtue of its learning outcomes that have been researched and designed with the ultimate objective of developing the talent base in professionals who seek to enhance their management skills and capabilities in line with industry best practices and setting new standards of management practices. The PMC series comes with the following Course Learning Outcomes:

          Lead and manage a team of subordinates towards a higher level of performance.

          Pre-empt problems and challenges and handle each situation pro-actively.

          Analyse problems from various perspectives and make sound decisions.

          Critically analyse various personalities and adopt different interaction management styles to communicate with different levels of staff.

          Motivate, develop, leading a team according to different situations.

          Identify and capitalize on the teams resources towards in ways that transform members through inculcating the right values.

          Employ the right transformational leadership models to harness leadership potentials in the team as a succession planning process.

          Understand different learning behaviour and effectively and efficiently apply the right coaching models in developing team members.

 

 

The (CMP-I) Level I Certification for 1st Line Managers comprises the following modules to help you meet the challenges outlined below:

 

MODULE 1: CORE SKILLS FOR MANAGERS

MODULE 2: INTERACTION MANAGEMENT SKILLS FOR MANAGERS

MODULE 3: PROBLEM-SOLVING & DECISION-MAKING SKILLS

MODULE 4: TRANSFORMATIONAL LEADERSHIP SKILLS FOR MANAGERS

MODULE 5: COACHING SKILLS

MODULE 6: THINKING OUTSIDE OF THE BOX - CREATIVE THINKING SKILLS

 

The (CPM-II) Level II Certification program for Middle Managers and Managers comprises the following modules to help you meet the challenges outlined below:

 

MODULE 1: EFFECTIVE MANAGEMENT SKILLS

MODULE 2: PEOPLE SKILLS C INTERACTION MANAGEMENT SKILLS

MODULE 3: MANAGING CHANGE THROUGH LEADERSHIP SKILLS

MODULE 4: CRITICAL, ANALYTICAL AND CREATIVE THINKING SKILLS

MODULE 5: COACHING FOR GREATER EFFECTIVENESS

MODULE 6: FINANCE FOR NON-FINANCE MANAGERS

MODULE 7: PROBLEM SOLVING & DECISION MAKING SKILLS

(Candidates who have obtained CMP-I are exempted from taking Module 2 & 7)

Examination form and format

Exam questions for Levels I and II are multiple-choice. The multiple choice examinations include questions relating to definitions, understandings of concepts, discussion of the relative merits of various issues, as well as development of approaches to hypothetical situations.

Rules of conduct for examinations

The specific rules pertaining to the conduct of the examinations are printed on the front of the examination book. Read them carefully before answering the first question. Candidates are expected to exercise honest and ethical behavior during the exams.

Module Length

Each module can be from 1 to 3 days in length and is generally taught on successive weekends (Sunday).or scheduled night classes over weekdays.

MINIMUM ENTRY REQUIREMENTS:

         For CMP-I (LEVEL I):    i. Minimum Diploma in any field of study and

                                  ii. Minimum 2 years working experience in Supervisory Level

or   iii. At least 5 years working experience as a supervisor or as a 1st line manager

         For CPM CII (LEVEL II):    i. Minimum Diploma or Degree in any field of study and

ii. Minimum 5 years of working experience as a 1st Line Manager/supervisor

or                   iii. Minimum 5 years working experience as a manager
